After four years of implementing staff mobility projects in adult education, the Burja Institute obtained Erasmus accreditation for 2022-2027. 

In pursuit of solving the identified needs of our members and the organization, we want to improve the following priority areas during this period: 

– IMPROVING THE COMPETENCES AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE EDUCATIONAL STAFF, related to their professional profiles and better targeting of target groups, the transfer of good practices and new methods, approaches and flexible forms of informal education that take into account the specific cultural, linguistic and social peculiarities of the members, 

– IMPROVING LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AND THE POTENTIAL OF ADULT LEARNERS through strengthened international integration between different types of organizations, which will support learning adults in adopting new learning outcomes and, in the long term, remove obstacles to inclusion in non-formal education programs and consequently contribute to their greater cultural and economic integration, 

– IMPROVEMENT OF INSTITUTIONAL SKILLS, strengthening of organizational and sustainable aspects of the organization, including improvement of strategic planning, preparation of new plans and creation of new possibilities for synergistic cooperation of organizations at different levels, mainly due to better utilization of educational, cultural and economic opportunities of minority members and their greater social inclusion. 

With mobility activities, we want to place the results and effects in our strategic development plan and operational functioning of the organization. By participating in the project, the educators and staff of the organization will upgrade existing minority education programs in the long term and introduce effective changes in the process of strategic planning of educational content, mainly by introducing good practices, including new work methodologies and innovative pedagogical approaches. As a result, we will improve adult learners’ motivation, design more flexible, combined digitally oriented educational processes, and enhance the recognition and use of acquired knowledge, especially by better recording learning outcomes. With the project, we also want to improve support of adult learning in the educational process, improve the provision and monitoring of the quality of learning content, and monitor the progress of learning at various levels in the organization and the wider environment.

In pursuit of the main objectives we have set in our accredited mobility projects of Erasmus+, we expect multiple impacts on different target groups – our minority learners, our mobility participants, and our organization. The impact will be evident end evaluated mainly through new proactive and flexible approaches, the improved motivation and increased number of minority members for educational and learning activities, and by a strengthened international network of organizations working in a related field.

• Mobility Project 2023 (June 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024, project number: 2023-1-SI01-KA121-ADU-000142333, value of allocated funds €37,400.00): In the second year of the implementation of accredited mobility, in accordance with the set goals, we planned 7 mobility of staff, 3 visits of invited foreign experts and 12 mobility of adult learners with accompanying persons.

• Mobility Project 2022 (June 1, 2022 – August 31, 2023, project number: 2022-1-SI01-KA121-ADU-000061842, value of allocated funds €16,980.00): In the first year of implementation of accredited mobility, we planned 8 personnel mobility in accordance with the set goals. We carried out 11 of them, including 3 people with fewer opportunities.
